Two Kinds of Voting, Two Kinds of Disruption, and Two Kinds of Unrighteousness

Senator Sasse,

You are different in so many ways. You actually think and write in a way that only those who have spiritual insight can comprehend. I really don’t see how the lost can do much with such wisdom.

I ALWAYS voted straight “R” and I voted strategically….lesser…blah blah blah. UNTIL this year. I used to MOCK those “conscience” voters. Now I am one. I guess working on my first campaign where the other staffers and volunteers felt like brothers and sisters and we petitioned our God for His wisdom, guidance, direction, and peace above all else, took me and my politics to a whole new level. I felt like I graduated from voting political strategy to wanting to vote based on a heart felt conviction of my soul (which in turn brought me closer to God and His righteousness)…… And Then I left it all and turned in my key to our GOP headquarters. (After being very active in our REC for last 5 years)

Politics had become an idol for me. So…Its REALLY real for me this time. The bar was set so high, that I dont think I will ever return to “strategic voting” I am happy and at peace, even when I am now bombarded by those ANGRY with me over it. I now have a much better understanding of why principles are so much better than lesser of two evils voting. If we ALL voted for principles, evil wouldn’t be able to get its foot in the door. But that takes faith, now doesnt it?

You inspire me. God bless you and your family. Keep writing 😃
