Step one: Soak the wig.

It is the best to mix cold or medium warm water with wig shampoo in a sink or basin (never ever throw it into the washing machine). Soak your wig for five minutes at least, or longer, depending on how dirty it is. Even if your wig is dirty, don’t rub, wring or twist it.

Step two: Rinse the wig.

The next step is to wet your lace wig. Put your wig under the faucet and rinse the faucet completely with lukewarm water to prevent the lock from falling into the sewer. After washing, gently remove excess water by hand, and prepare to shampoo your hair. Relax-don’t twist it out.

Step three: Use the shampoo.

Put a small amount of shampoo on your hands and stroke your hair from the root to the tip to keep the shampoo away from the wig scalp. It’s significant not to use too much force when washing your hair-avoid scrubbing or rubbing your hair, because it may harm your hair.

For the best results, please use cleaning shampoo specially designed for human hair wigs. These shampoos are mild enough not to damage your hair. They are specially designed for your wig. Some women prefer to wash their hair with mild shampoo.

To remove shampoo, use cold water from hair root to hair tip. When you wash the shampoo and the water becomes clear, gently dry your hair with a towel before using conditioner. The wig may still be wet, but you don’t want it to get more wet.

Step four: Use hair conditioner.

Now you’re ready to use the hair conditioner. Just like shampoo, you need to use a wig-approved moisturizing conditioner. Gently apply it to the wig, starting from the bottom. Gently comb the hair with your fingers to keep the conditioner away from the bottom of the wig. You can adjust most hair conditioners for one to five minutes, but follow the instructions on the bottle. When the time is up, use cold water from the top of the wig to the end of the hair, and make sure to remove all conditioner before sucking it dry.

Step five: Dry the wig.

You have cleaned your lace wig, so now you just have to wait for it to dry. Gently suck it dry with a towel, and then put it on the wig holder to dry. Gently suck it dry with a towel, and then put it on the wig rack to dry. Avoid using hair dryer and comb your hair until the lace wig is fully dry. Once it is no longer moist, you can design your wig as usual.
