More than five years ago, I started my own company, Brlog. The locally relevant digital agency grew steadily winning all of the regional awards, producing work for some of Croatia’s largest clients, and most importantly — gathering an amazing group of people. As co-founder and CEO my roles included not only Creative Director but Lead Designer, Account Manager, Sales, PM, all-around motivator, and just about every other title you can imagine (interior plant decorator, anyone?). It’s important to mention that I was lucky enough to co-found the company with two great partners that lead the Best International Small Agency — Bruketa&Zinic OM.

Earlier this year, something really unplanned happened. CEO of Five Minutes, Luka Abrus, approached me to help them lead their NYC office. I was not searching for a new gig and was truly taken aback. Luka, as well as Viktor, the founder, wanted me to know what was going on at their company and that there is huge unharvested potential. The majority of their clients are US based, and a stronger NYC presence is one of the companies main focuses.

Five Minutes is one of Europe’s leading mobile development companies — in just a few years they've grown into a 60 people company, started a product startup Shoutem and worked for clients such as Rhapsody, Real Networks and Squarespace. Check out the latest app to come out of their shop — Ministry of Sound, it’s amazing.

The company’s NYC presence has rebranded since (shortening the name to Five) and will be launching their new identity and site very soon. I'm pleased to share a small teaser. Follow me on Twitter for updates.

The rebranding —
Five Minutes (before) & Five (after)

BRB

The past five years running Brlog were some of the best of my life and even though I’m leaving the day-to-day operations, I feel confident about the talent we've gathered and the path the company is on.

I feel privileged and would really like to extend my gratitude to everyone who helped us build what Brlog is today. The experiences, interactions and events that have happened to me in the last five years were fun, inspiring and helped me grow tremendously.

Now is the time to tackle a different kind of problem,
on a larger scale, in a new context.

I can't wait to meet the whole team Five NYC, to start learning from them, and to start solving problems together. I’ll be in NYC the majority of September, so feel free to reach out. Just give me Five minutes.

This entry is the 8th part of my New Year’s resolution project.
