SAN FRANCISCO (November 6, 2017) — Today, Band Together Bay Area, a coalition of business and community leaders supporting North Bay firestorm recovery and rebuilding, announced that YouTube and Twitter will livestream the November 9 Band Together Bay Area concert benefitting North Bay fire relief and ask all viewers to donate to the fire relief fund.

100% of ticket sales from the show with Metallica, Dead & Company, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, G-Eazy, Raphael Saadiq and Rancid, will go to an emergency relief fund established by Tipping Point Community. Tipping Point will direct funds to North Bay community foundations, service providers and government partners supporting the low-income communities hit hardest by the fires. The best seats in the house will be donated to first responders, volunteers and families impacted by the firestorm for an evening of solidarity, respite and hope.

Livestream viewers can donate through YouTube on the night of the show, and by texting TOGETHER to 20222 until January 1, 2018, standard messaging rates apply. 100% of text donations will be given to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund thanks to underwriting by Twilio. As a founding sponsor of the concert, Google will also match any donations made through the YouTube livestream and text to give up to $1 million until January 1, 2018. This effort builds on Google and’s initial support for those affected by the fires.

The coalition also released additional details about the benefit concert. The program will begin at 5:45 p.m. with an interfaith blessing by the San Francisco Interfaith Council, followed by a video tribute to the resilience and strength of the North Bay communities impacted by the firestorm. Raphael Saadiq will kick off the musical portion of the evening, followed by Rancid, G-Eazy, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Dead & Company and culminating with a performance by Metallica. In between each set, local celebrities and athletes, including Renel Brooks Moon, Joe Montana, Barry Bonds and Buster Posey, will honor heroes who rose to the occasion during the tragic fires. The program will also include a moment of remembrance for the victims of the the firestorm.

Viewers can access the five-hour show worldwide starting at 5:45 p.m. PST / 8:45 p.m. EST through the following channels:

The fires in the North Bay have burned an estimated 200,000 acres and 6,000 homes in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake Counties, displacing thousands of residents. Damage estimates are in the billions of dollars and rising, and the cleanup and recovery efforts will be the largest and costliest in California history.
