the Macedonia of Phillip and Alexander is a current province of Greece republic. The NYTimes note refers not actually to that Macedonia but to the FYRM previously part of Yugoslavia that splits using the Macedonian name as Macedonian Republic. Greece has claimed against this confusing use and that is the sense of the shown article title ; Greece suggest using FYRM (Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia) as the name of that country as a better name is adopted.
