A weekend in Busan ~

Because when you travel, you cannot let the opportunity to explore amazing news places slip from your hands, i decided to go to Busan for a 3 day trip with friends— including one day in Jinhae for the cherry blossom festival.

Busan is located in the South of South Korea, with an access to the sea and possesses quite nice beaches. The city is also famous for its sea food and has a pretty nice fish market.

I was quite lucky to explore Busan with a nice weather and during the cherry blossom season ❤ The temperature was considerably high for the season — around 20 degrees — and i had my first sunbath of the year !

Busan also has pretty nice specialities, including the “water jelly cake”. It actually doesn’t really have a taste but you usually had honey or grout with the traditional read bean powder. What’s funny about it is more the consistency of the cake in my opinion ^^

The first picture shows one of many maket streets that are located near the beach in Busan. You can find a lot of traditional food there, including the water jelly cake and the famous beef soup represented in the second picture.

And what is better than spending the evening on the beach drinking soju with friends ? The view from Busan’s main beach is quite astonishing and you can easily see the famous bridge of the city (it even has some animations on it) as well as the skyline of Busan. If you want an even more amazing view, you can find a nice roof top bar in one of the many buildings of the city. You can also shoot some fireworks on the beach ~ ❤

A nice place to go if the weather doesn’t turn out to be as good as you want it to be is Shinsagae Mall — one of the biggest commercial center in asia !

The mall itself has nothing exceptional, except from the fact that it is really huge, but there are a lot of animations and sometimes, if you are lucky, you can see K-pop groups being interviewed …

Shinsagae’s architecture is also quite modern. It really is a shopping mecca.

But finally, if you don’t feel like spending a lot of money — or if you prefer brandless clothing or original ones — there is another way of trying out korean fashion.

In Busan you can find a lot of great markets like this one, only a few stations from Busan Station, where you can find OK-clothing for cheap (i found some shirt for 3,000–5,000 wons ! = 3–5$ !)

⤐ If you want to know the precise locations of where the pictures were taken, you can find them on my Instagram account, where i gathered all of the shots i took during my journeys ;)
