Standing under the cherry blossoms …

I’ve been in Korea for more than a month now but i couldn’t find the right moment to start this blog … Until i felt the need to share my experience of the Jinhae Festival ! Jinhae Gunhangje Festival (or 진해군항제 in Hangul) is a cherry Blossom festival near the city of Busan, in the south of Korea.

I’ve always liked cherry blossoms, their shape and color and it was one of the things i really wanted to see in Asia — well it is also one of Asia’s symbols — so i knew i had to grab this opportunity ! Cherry blossoms are also blooming only for a short period of time — approximately 10 days — and “may the weather be with you” !

Jinhae is only one hour away from Busan by bus but you have to be there quite early since it is really (really) crowded. Actually i think i have rarely seen so many people at a festival ! The event is quite popular among koreans and even among foreigners.

Here is one of the main street of Jinhae where you can see the “Romance Bridges” on the small river.

You always have a lot of fancy food in festival, but try a festival in Korea and the term fancy will have another meaning ^^

Actually i’m pretty sure you can find almost everything you want (from salty and tempura food to sweet and funny deserts)

Cherry blossoms literally EVERYWHERE ! ❤
