IA # 5: Reflections on The Monuments Men

1. I’ll be honest with this. I actually found the first half of the movie boring or uninteresting. So I didnt watch it. But when the second half played, it caught my interest. And I was really amazed how these soldiers were risking their lives for a piece of art. Even though they knew that death is coming, they were still continuing the mission that were given to them. And knowing that this is a true story, you will be touched by their stories.
2. The actors were great and you will think that they are not really acting at all. Because you can see that some funny scenes are not really an acting and they are just playing around like kids. I like how the scenes were filmed in different places. It will be better if they showed the real life soldiers in their film since it was a true story movie.
3. It would be nice if the Philippines have this kind of soldiers. Since history is an art, painted or carved in different ways. We can learn so much more through the paintings that were hidden in caves or abandoned building.
