When famed auction house Bonhams kicks off its fall auction in the coming weeks, it will commence with a stunning line up of high quality blue stones. The auction which is set for September 20, will feature a oval-cut 3.81-carat intense blue diamond-a true stunner by any measure.

The auction housed presently holds the record for largest amounts paid for blue diamonds. Last year, they sold a fancy blue diamond for $1.7 million and a grayish blue diamond for $730,000. The 3.81 carat intense-blue diamond they are set to auction off this September is expected to fetch over $1.8 million dollars according to experts.

Also in the line up for the fall auction are a pair of cushion-shaped Kashmir sapphires expected bring in between $750,000 to $800,000. The earrings which weigh approximately 9 carats, are surrounded by ten brilliant-cut diamonds.

Lastly, of the many items that will be auctioned off next month, is a necklace articulated with geometric chain of diamonds, alternating with oval cabochon rubies. The necklace comes with a pendant set made with oval cabochon rubies and diamonds. Furthermore, a notable feature of the necklace is that it is fully convertible and can be made into a tennis bracelet, thanks to a latch that allows for the ability to detach from the chain. The pendant, and the necklace set are expected to garner between $130,000 and $200,000 respectively.
