3 Key Elements for High Ticket Commissions
It’s really not unlike inviting someone into your home, making them feel comfortable and building trust. People aren’t going to want to come back and visit if you don’t offer them anything to drink or a snack and you’re just plain boring. So isn’t this basically what we’re doing when building a sales funnel? You’re crafting your offer and putting it in front of people (inviting them in). After they’re in and feeling comfortable, you may offer them something a little more (order bump or one time offer). Then after they’ve left, you can follow up a few days later and invite them back (auto-responder follow up sequence). So what are these (3) key elements? I’m glad you asked because I’m going to break that down for you. I will also reveal what is the best course that has everything you need in a nice, neat, done-for-you package.
Element #1: Landing Page to start your Sales Funnel
Statistics show that you have approximately 7 seconds to capture someone’s attention online, so having an attractive landing page with an irresistible offer is key. So, what is a landing page? It is basically a one page web site with a single focus or goal known as a call to action (or CTA) that a user can get something of value in exchange for their email. Now what you do with that email afterwards is also key. So why not use a full blown web site? Typical web sites are a bit outdated and have too much going on (menus, submenus, banners, etc.) and let’s face it, a confused mind always says no. So a clean landing page with a clear call to action is always going to have a much higher conversion rate. But what do we do when we’ve collected that email? That leads us to our next element.
Element #2: Autoresponder to Connect with your Landing Page
An autoresponder is a simple yet effective email marketing tool which allows you to send a series of scheduled follow-up emails to your subscribers. When set up correctly, you can grow your audience, drive more sales and build stronger customer relationships with these automated, time saving tools. Targeting is a major part of marketing, but retargeting is where you start seeing next level conversions. That’s why your autoresponder is a key piece in your sales funnel. So now you’re collecting emails and growing your list and building a following. The goal now is to engage your list with relevant content because you don’t want them to get bored and give them a reason to unsubscribe. There’s definitely a fine line between being annoying and being interesting. Being annoying would be emailing your list three, four or 5 times a day (which reeks of desperation). Being interesting and a bit mysterious just dropping little nuggets of goodness whether it be an interesting article or an upcoming webinar even news of an upcoming launch goes a long way. Keep in mind, you don’t always have to have something to sell to engage your list. This builds trust with your audience and they’ll be more likely to engage with whatever content you’re delivering at that given moment. People can typically smell fake from a mile away, so be real, be true and be you. But what good is an landing page and autoresponder if we don’t have any eyes on our offer? So what’s missing here…that leads us to our next important element.
Element #3: Driving Targeted Traffic to your Landing Page
Ah yes, that magic bullet of driving targeted traffic. Where is the switch that I can flip that just starts driving a never-ending, steady flow of traffic to my offer. I think we all agree that if that switch existed, it would make things a lot easier no doubt. But, whatever route you go, whether it’s free traffic or paid traffic, it’s all about targeting your specific audience by age group, interests and lookalike audiences. Keep in mind, platforms like Microsoft ads, Google ads and a few others will start you off with a bonus credit (even up to $200). You need to also keep in mind these platforms don’t like affiliate links so the importance of a landing page (or bridge page) is key so you don’t have to put your affiliate link(s) on that page, but rather on your thank you page or within your emails you set up in your autoresponder. It’s recommended to build a Facebook Fan Page and an Instagram page and tie the two together and start warming up your audience (posting about good things to come).
