Disgraceful and close-minded post. I am pro-europe, pro immigration and pro economic integration. Yet I voted to Leave.
The Eu is a protectionist and socialist project that was a fantastic idea when europe required post-war stability. Today it has become a incestuous and out of touch organisation that is filled with elitist romantic liberals like you who wish to lecture the gravely disenfranchised and ignored poor and uneducated on what they ought to think. Not only that but it closes of global cooperation in favour of european interests. Why should Spanish workers be any less welcome than Kenyan ones?
Personally, when I join a club I assume I can leave when I want without fear of reproach, especially when no blood has been spilled. It is this very vicious and venomous reproachment that only serves to alienate more. As a wealthy upper middle class person do not start blaming those less fortunate than you for their valid concerns over their perceived lack of control over their destinies. Do not deny them their humanity, they are only doing what they think is right and it is our responsibility to create a better relationship between sovereign nations that allows better movement of people and goods that caters for all. We now have that chance and the british have once again shown how bold they are and launched into unknown seas to forge better worlds.
Personally I want scotland, wales and NI to have their own controls and borders. If it is what they want and I am honestly concerned for their well being as brothers and sisters, why on earth would I stop them doing what they wish and what they feel would give them their identity back? I would love them to stay but for christs sake if they want to leave then by all means go and we will support them fully in building our new collective identities.
So cool yourself. Theres no armageddon. just a chance to build a better world.
