The Banality of Black Death

I am actually a quarter black and my mother is half. We are both completely disgusted by this BLM movement to which this article belongs. I feel compelled to address you people on every forum as you actually do the black community a huge disservice. There are fundamental issues in the black community. Legacy of slavery, historical disenfranchisement, perceptions etc there are no doubt a lot of incredibly important drivers of crime in the black community. The uncomfortabke fact is that black people comit way more crime than white or asian people (crime per head of population), even when you compare like with like economically. That holds true in every western population and is not me being racist but me stating facts which you can look up anywhere. That is a big problem. BLM recognize the problem but their diagnosis is woefully wrong. They think that because a handfull of police have misjudged situations or acted with racial charge that the entire establishment (not just the police) is systematically still oppressing black people in the west. That is stupid and just plain wrong. Even if there was a bias against black people by the police, you must accept that human beings have brains that recognize patterns (essentially that is the main function of the brain) and if you live in the west as an officer of the law you will see a disproportionally large amount of black people comitting crimes than any other race (again just facts). Given that, you must also accept that as an officer of the law you may come to suspect people based on colour as horrible as we know that is. So basically yes more black people get stopped by cops than other races and sometimes terrible mistakes and racially motivated killings happen. That is tragic but not the cause of anything. Just a symptom of a larger problem.

BLM is a nice excuse to not actually do anything. protesting is a hell of a lot easier to do than actually build communities and find new positive rallying points. The way you carry on one would think you are also purposefully ignoring the fact that most black lives are being ended in Africa not the West. So rather than building western black communities and helping african countries BLM are stomping their feet around on campuses clutching at straws and avoiding any conversation on data (they have none) and any conversation on the actual drivers of black crime. Get real.
