Depression is a serious mental health condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be challenging to know how to support a loved one who is dealing with depression, but understanding what to say and what not to say can make a big difference.

Things to Say:

“I’m here for you.” Let your loved one know that you care and that you’re willing to listen and support them.

“It’s okay to not be okay.” Let them know that it’s normal to have bad days, and that it’s important to take care of themselves.
