What if companies interviewed translators the way they interview coders?
Jose Aguinaga

When some companies ask for a couple of years’ experience when advertising an internship position (an INTERNSHIP!), I was taken aback but not totally surprised when I read this. I know nothing about translating or coding, but I get sometimes the company’s expectations of a candidate are a tad high. I find myself looking at job posts and thinking “Will y’all ever find ANYBODY to fill that position? Looks like you’re trying to find Jesus with a PhD.”
