It’s time to give one of your lambos a wash, because all Streamlabs broadcasters can now accept cryptocurrency tips. We’re initially adding support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash, and will be looking into adding other coins in the future.

To get started, simply head over to your donation settings page and select the Coinbase option.

You’ll be redirected to Coinbase where you’ll need to login/register and connect your Coinbase account to Streamlabs.

After approving, your tip page will now show a new option for your viewers:

If you want to disable cryptocurrency tips at any time, head back to the donation settings page and click the Coinbase option to disconnect.

I can has alerts?
Cryptocurrency tips will act exactly the same as a fiat tip, which means they will integrate seamlessly into your alerts, recent events panel, and everywhere else in the Streamlabs ecosystem.

Are there fees?
Streamlabs does not charge a fee, but some network transaction fees may apply depending on the currency being used. Additionally, Coinbase may charge to convert your cryptocurrency into your native currency. Please refer to Coinbase’s support documentation for more info.

Can cryptocurrency tips be charged-back?
The simple answer is nope! Cryptocurrency payments are not reversible, which means you can rest assured that any cryptocurrency tips you receive will not be cancelled or reversed.

What the heck is a Bitcoin?
Coinbase has a great collection of articles that explain in detail what cryptocurrencies are, how they work, and more.

We will continue to improve our crypto integrations over the coming months so feel free to comment below or tweet us @StreamlabsHQ with any questions, ideas, or concerns.
