In the midst of life’s storms, Lori found solace at her favorite sanctuary, an old park bench nestled under an ancient oak tree. This sacred space, embraced by the tree’s dense canopy, was untouched by the chaos surrounding her.

One day, Lori sat beneath the tree’s comforting shade, reflecting on her choices and conclusions. She pondered the meaning of existence and the roots of her decision-making. Amidst her inner turmoil, a deep connection grew between Lori and nature’s soothing guidance as the breeze rustled through the tree leaves. Each gentle gust reassured her of her place within the Divine orchestration of life.

As twilight approached, Lori headed home and asked her best friend Amara to meet at her parents’ house — the refuge where secrets were shared and adventures enjoyed as children. As they sat wrapped in warm blankets on a porch swing, sipping hot cocoa, Lori expressed how she could always find solace under that wise oak tree. She felt as if its branches had taken on a restorative magic.

Amara seized this moment of heartfelt truth to offer a powerful insight. “My dear friend,” she said with a radiant smile, “You are just like a tree! You bend when life challenges you but never break away from your roots.”

The two friends celebrated this shared wisdom over cups of cocoa, their spirits warming as they opened up to one another beneath the embracing blanket of night.

The old oak had taught Lori much about resilience and survival. As she observed it providing shelter and nourishment to countless little creatures, she acknowledged her own capacity to nurture those around her. A newfound strength settled in as she saw herself reflecting nature’s beauty and resilience.

Whenever doubt and confusion stirred within Lori from that day forth, she remembered to embody the mighty trees that withstood storms and bent gracefully without breaking. She grasped — and truly embraced — that our journey isn’t about avoiding life’s tempests but instead learning from them and always finding our way to stand tall again.

Remember that you are strong.

Lori was like a tree. She bent in the wind, but she never broke. She was strong and resilient.

You are a survivor.

Never give up.
