In an ideal world more pay would be great, but their is a price point where customers are willing to pay. At some point instacart needs to be aware that a food store can hire an hourly worker at 10 an hour and pay a driver a flat delivery fee and that would save the customer money. Is instacart profitable? Do we know that? More pay is great but not at the expense of the entire gig. If the 10 pct is there who is to say that it does not go to shoppers in the form of peak bonuses and quality bonuses. That money has to come from somewhere. Quite honestly I see some jobs paying over $20 and wonder why a customer would pay that much more, that’s just my cut, not including whatever instacart gets…think before the pot gets stirred to much. More pay is great per order, but at the expense if less orders?
