Seems to me you’re referring more to John Cage than David lynch [], and Cage is certainly a lot more into Zen Buddhism (and, of course, sunyata []) than Lynch. So, IMO, you’re admiring the wrong fellow. Not that Lynch is not worthy of admiration, but (again, IMO) for a different reason than for expression of emptiness. (And, as with your essay, my comment is meant to be at least partially tongue-in-cheek.)
