Lauren. This is the question I’ve asked myself for a long time, but never put it in writing. I’m retired now, but when I worked, the busy day began when my feet hit the bedroom floor until way past 8 or 9PM.

That was just me. My former co-workers would tell me about their previous activities, or what their schedule is the next day, as if staying busy and committed was the ‘cool’ thing to do.

Now, I realize how the world around us can ‘seem to be’ so demanding of our lives, but perception has a lot to do with it. I wonder if people are in competition with their peers, trying to appear ‘busier’ than anyone else?

No answers here.

Nice post, Lauren. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
