This is such a great, thorough look into some of the logic behind Material Design and how to use the language instead of abusing it. I loved the highlighting of the metrics and keylines defined in the Material spec — one of my favorite reasons for working with Material Design is the thoughtful architecture provided by these guidelines. And I’ll always be a champion of the Material UI Icon recommendations and grids; I use these as my baseline every time I’m building an icon set.
