The Web isn’t uniform

I’m wondering why this article was flagged to me via email? There’s nothing here that hasn’t been said a million times before.

Surely everyone involved in producing websites has come across ‘web standards’, ‘accessibility’, ‘UX’ and ‘best practice’? Everyone should be considering what happens when scripting is ‘turned off’, even if it’s just a case of adding a message saying “This website relies on JavaScript …” to inform the user why the site isn’t working.

Like cross browser/platform testing, testing for what happens should JS fail is part of your job.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
