Combating loneliness — according to Reddit

I was reading through a thread on Reddit to do with adults that don’t have any meaningful friendships or relationships. It’s one of those gold-mine threads that help you see under the skin of how different people think, and it’s also the type of thread that guarantees great humour.

Here’s a piece of advice someone left a 24yr old who was explaining his situation. Comments like this are why Reddit is amazing.

Quit your fucking job, get off the internet, go somewhere cool, do something weird. If you don’t make any friends while you’re herding cows in Hawaii for 8 months, come back home and start telling people that you were just herding cows in Hawaii for the last 8 months. Someone wants to hear about that.
