First of all, I’d like to start off my first post by giving you, the reader, some background on my “photographic career” (if you can even call it that). Ever since I can remember I’ve enjoyed taking photos and using cameras but I never had one myself to teach myself photography, until now. This past Holiday season I got given a Nikon N8008s (also known as the Nikon F801), an Olympus Infinity Stylus point-and-shoot, an Agfa “Box Brownie” and a Xiaomi Yi Cam. All of the cameras, except the Xiaomi Yi, are film cameras and they are a blast to use.

So, I have a few rolls of Kodak 35mm ISO 200 film and a thirst for exploration and creation. My first developed roll came back a week or two ago and I am quite pleased with the results. Below you will find some of those photos. Of the 24 exposures 20 are in focus. The 4 erroneous shots baffled me and then, after inspecting my camera’s settings and reading the manual over several times, I found out that I had set it into Aperture Priority mode when dealing with Exposure and Shutter Speed which made for some long exposure times and shaky, blurry, unusable shots.

Thus, we have come to the end of my first post. If you’d like to stay up to date with my adventures in the world of film photography please don’t hesitate to follow me on here.
