Oldfruerne

The heads are upside down, they lift each other and find themselves in a very awkward and inappropriate position, that should not be allowed on a stage. In their short dresses with pink swim caps they will do it anyway. It’s their concept. A concept they started many years ago, that years ago were passed on to a group younger women, but because of Aarhus Festuge the original ladies are now back on stage to feel the last rush on stage.

The mood is easy-going. The ladies laugh, giggle, burp and laugh even louder. They are relaxed, giving the impression that the humor and unity is more important than the actual show. Moving around between each other to find the next position, where they must be intimate in an extreme and sarcastic way, they smile and laugh like a group of teenage girls.
After a little run-through of their performance, the mood gets slightly sharpened. There are still room for humorous comments, but slowly they become quieter, focusing on their performance. You can almost sense the routine.

On stage, they are met with a big applause. The spectators know who they are, they have been looking forward to ‘Oldfruerne’. The show-face is on and the ladies give all they have got, receiving even louder laughs and applauses.
