How America Spreads the Disease that is Racism by not Confronting Racist Family Members and Friends

I don’t understand how you can consider racism a mental illness. It is an opinion, a way of thinking. Next people will be in recovery as hate addicts. Racism can’t be cured with medicine. Racists need education and that type of education must start very early. It’s similar to trying to convince a hunter of the cruelty of killing. I don’t know if it can even be done, but calling people out for their ignorance about any issue is the first step. Calling hate an illness sets society up to have to defend racists as victims of mental illness. They’re not. Racists just hate and need to understand why they hate and need to see how it hurts everyone including themselves. Please stop referring to racism as a mental illness.
