Components in Figma
Hey everyone, in this article I’ll be taking a different approach from what I usually do in my previous ones. We’ll be discussing components and I will explain what they do and how they work and also attach a tutorial video on what’s been said.

Components in Figma are reusable elements that can help create consistency in our design projects. Basically, you can have components from any layers or objects designed. They could be buttons, icons, layouts, and more.
There are different aspects of components
Main component: This defines the properties of the component
An instance: it's a copy of the main component that can be reused across your design, when changes are made to the main component they reflect on the various instances across the file.
In the video below, I’ll be explaining how to create a component and how it can be used plus the different types of components.
In Conclusion
There are a lot of advantages to making use of components in your design and with constant practice, you can be extremely amazing at this, I would say to look at more materials.
I would also love to know what you would want me working on next, I’m thinking Auto layouts but I would leave that idea open to everyone.
