1. Live my word for the year: Committed.
What’s Stopping Me: Nothing but prioritization.
What You’ll Need to Achieve: A dedicated mindset.
Why this is goal is important: It is important that I control my own destiny and believe in my vision to help people and companies to find their true north star through narrative design
2. Complete 6 major speaking engagements in 2018
What’s Stopping Me: Locking in dates and commitments
What You’ll Need to Achieve: Complete my new presentations. Leverage my Duarte Course and Prezi development to produce my TED talk level presentation
Why this is goal is important: Speaking will provide exposure and momentum for building my vision to make Narrative an indispensable tool for both companies and individuals.
3. Lose 30 lbs. By 7/1/18
What’s Stopping Me: Laziness and Commitment.
What You’ll Need to Achieve: Change my evening and morning behaviors to include some exercise everyday and to modify my eating habits to make healthy choices.
Why this is goal is important: A stronger body will lead to a stronger mind, more resilience and more energy to improve my emotional well being.
4. Produce 20 Corporate Narratives in 2018
What’s Stopping Me: Generating new business
What You’ll Need to Achieve: Dedication to do the things that will generate new business. Speaking, writing, networking, focusing on what I know I need to do vs. wasting time doing things that are not productive. Saying NO to things that don’t matter.
Why this is goal is important: It will enable my business to grow and prosper and will allow me to live the life I want to live in my post empty nest years.
5. Expand my Mentoring and Teaching in 2018
What’s Stopping Me: Following up on the opportunities that are in front of me.
What You’ll Need to Achieve: Launching My Narrative project. Signing on to ETN as a mentor. Expand my visiting professional speaking/teaching assignments.
Why this is goal is important: I want to give back and share what I have learned over my career to the next generations so we improve the world we live in.
