As artificial intelligence (AI) technology continues to evolve, businesses are increasingly turning to AI-powered tools to streamline communication and improve efficiency. In this article, we’ll explore three powerful AI tools — Chat GPT, GPT-3, and Bing with Microsoft Edge AI chat function — and compare their features and benefits.

It’s worth noting that this article was largely written by Chat GPT, a language model developed by OpenAI. While I made some changes and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and readability of the content, much of the writing was generated by the AI tool. This serves as a testament to the impressive capabilities of AI technology in helping humans create high-quality content more efficiently. With that in mind, let’s dive into the world of AI-powered communication tools and explore their potential for transforming business operations.

Chat GPT

Chat GPT is a conversational AI tool based on the GPT language model developed by OpenAI. It can be used to generate human-like responses to text-based messages in real-time. Chat GPT has been trained on a large corpus of text data and can understand and respond to a wide range of topics.

Pros:

  • It has a high level of understanding of natural language.
  • It is customizable and can be fine-tuned to suit specific use cases.
  • Chat GPT uses OpenAI’s Codex technology, which is a powerful AI system capable of generating code based on natural language descriptions.

Cons:

  • It may not always provide accurate responses.
  • The free version sometimes reaches capacity and the subscription service is $20 a month
GPT-3 — Overview

GPT-3

GPT-3 is a language model developed by OpenAI that uses deep learning to generate human-like responses to text-based inputs. It is one of the largest language models available, with 175 billion parameters. GPT-3 can be used for a variety of tasks, such as language translation, content creation, and chatbots.

Pros:

  • It can be easily integrated into various platforms.
  • It can perform a wide range of language tasks.
  • It has a high level of understanding of natural language.
  • It is customizable and can be fine-tuned to suit specific use cases.
  • It is very helpful for editing documents with 3 modes available in the GPT-3 Text playground. Text Completion, Insert and Edit.

1. Text Completion: This mode allows you to quickly complete text by entering the first few words or phrases.
2. Insert: This mode allows you to insert new words or phrases into the text.
3. Edit: This mode allows you to quickly make changes to existing words or phrases in the text.

Cons:

  • It is expensive to use, with pricing based on the number of requests made.
  • It may not always provide accurate responses.

Bing with Microsoft Edge AI chat function

Microsoft Edge has an AI chat function that allows users to chat with the search engine using natural language. It can answer questions, provide recommendations, and perform other tasks. The AI chat function uses Bing’s knowledge graph and natural language processing capabilities to understand and respond to user queries.

For the best experience and use of the sidebar function use the Microsoft Edge (Dev) version.

Pros:

  • Totally free to use.
  • It is easy to use.
  • Bing Chat possesses real-time data access, a capability that Chat GPT and GPT-3 lack, as they are limited to information up to a certain date.
  • Using the Bing Chat side bar function gives you access to a virtual assistant that can follow the content you’re viewing and respond to any questions you have.

Cons:

  • There is currently a waitlist to access this new feature. The wait is quite small, with most users gaining access in a day or two.
  • It may not be as customizable as other AI tools.
  • Long-form conversation has currently been disabled due to causing the chatbot to malfunction. The previously mentioned options are much more suited to long-form discussion.
  • It may not be suitable for more complex tasks, partly due to the lack of long-form discussion.
  • It frequently provides confidently wrong answers.

Conclusion

In summary, each of the three AI tools discussed in this article has a specific purpose that I use almost daily. These include generating professional articles quickly, analyzing code, and editing written work for grammar and style. While each tool has its strengths, it also has its limitations, and users should exercise caution in relying solely on its outputs. Due to their language model nature, these tools may lack logical reasoning and occasionally produce incorrect information. Nevertheless, when used correctly, these AI tools can significantly reduce the time spent on these tasks, improving the quality of work produced. However, it is crucial to validate the information provided by these tools and exercise human judgment in evaluating their results.
