This op-ed in favor of Angular is a bit over the top to say the least.
Having personally used, as well as managed teams that have adopted react and ng2/4 I can categorically say they both have issues.
I am happy to use either approach for a product, and am more worried about the quality of developers, development practices, processes, team health, than the flavor of the dev- cream the choose.
Ironically I have also seen teams that have react fatigue pick ng4 for new products, and vice versa.
The grass is always greener, and the new dev-hotness is ever changing.
