I read the article, and I’m quite familiar with the issues at hand, yet I can’t find where President Trump “lied on Twitter to influence Comey’s testimony.” Saying “Comey better hope there are no tapes” is not a lie, it’s a statement of fact, and it worked, because Comey realized he’d better tell the truth about telling Trump 3 times that he wasn’t under investigation. All the reporting up to that point had said that Comey was going to deny ever telling Trump that. It was “journalists” like the ones who write for this website that decided that Trump’s tweet must mean that he made tapes of the conversations.
