Someone to Blame
If you aren’t satisfied with driving Kel Campbell away and you’re now focused on Tim Barrus – do me a favour.
Give up already.
You’re tiresome. You’re part of the problem.
Here’s the thing; when I first read Tim’s work here on Medium, I was shocked. When I looked him up, I was dismayed and fearful. I thought I had run into a true charlatan.
I had.
But, it wasn’t Tim. It was the publishing industry. Even the media. Maybe, even those pointing fingers.
I’m not going to wax lyrical about the depth and quality of Tim’s work – you can see it on display here on Medium. I will tell you I think his work matters.
Next time you want to destroy a talia jane or a some hope filled millennial, or even the outrageous Tim Barrus — push yourself back from the keyboard and ask yourself this simple question:
What am I doing to make a positive change in the world?
I know it’s hard.
Perhaps some inspiration will help you focus?
Here’s a short list of a few of the people I know making a positive change in the world and sharing it with us on Medium: Thaddeus Howze , Justin Cox 🌮 , alto , ☀️Rama☀️ , Jennifer Smith , Leah Stella Stephens 🐀 , Lon Shapiro , John Fisher & Felicia Megan Gordon (THOSE PEOPLE — who just published important pieces on drugs and criminal justice) and t♭who edits Invironment which just published what might be the most important article on food, human scale living and the planet earth this year.
Peace.
