I didn’t intend to discount Obama. I think he let the fire of the revolution burn out while in the first term of office, favouring a pragmatic approach to change. This approach had some significant success, but it was also limited.

I was trying to point out his pragmatism showed us those limits. While he achieved significant structural change in the USA, because a cultural change was missing, most of that change is modest and continues to be under fire.

Revolutions are won in the hearts and minds, secured with fine print.
