The Village Green Preservation Society
You don’t need screens, but your work — in particular — is more accessible and provocative on the screen. I’m a fan.
The NY Post, on the other hand, needs click-bait titles to get people to read their ‘stories’. I think this one was written by the Village Green Preservation Society. It literally states the bleeding obvious — looking at a screen for several hours a day, when you’re small child, will hurt your brain and eyes — while trying to make some kind of crazy statement about heroin. This creates an atmosphere of fear, uncertainty, and doubt for the reader.
While there is certainly an issue with the dopamine hits of notifications and connectivity — this article is making the leap to ‘screens’.
Oh, and the absolute gem of a hypothesis is added for your reading pleasure: Minecraft turns kids into zombies. Really?
I hope you keep making art for the screen…
Peace.
