The big problems of our time each present unique challenges, but they all have one thing in common: they require mass participation to be solved.

These solutions cannot be pushed at people from above: they need to be pulled from below and at times even from the sides or the edges. Our existing business architecture is simply not up to the task. If change is to happen at scale, we need new perspective and a highly participatory system.

Might we consider focusing on making greater use of external ideas, data, technology and creative intelligence!? I believe face to face marketing and its 50 different business models need to be more open, as the industry has few economics of scale in developing new ideas for growth.
