I think a lot of the stress comes after the basics where you finally start understanding HTML and CSS with reliable competence and then that guilty conscious of “now I should learn vanilla JavaScript, basic jQuery or maybe Angular or React/Redux! or how about GSAP API for animation!…” — The just sheer headache of going from scaffolding languages to functional programming languages, or even just the “am I really a developer if I don’t know JS?” anxiety or feeling of shame prior to even making that step…
