Liverpool FC is one of the biggest and most successful football teams in Britain, and Europe as a whole. Right now, Liverpool fans are in a celebration mood as an opportunity to make the club more spectacular has arisen.

Liverpool looks to be concluding an opportunity of enlarging the stadium by 61,000 seats. The stadium’s capacity will increase by 7,000, to come up to a total of 61,000. The Council from Liverpool has granted a total of £60 million, which is enough to initiate the whole of the project.
The initiative was passed by Liverpool Managing Director, Andy Hughes, who labeled the move as a good initiative to make the YWNA kingdom ever spectacular.

Anfield Plan Layout

Target areas of the football field include a new family fan zone, hospitality lounges, and other ranges of facilities that are friendly to the spectator. The move is meant to make Anfield a better pitch than before; a modern and friendly piece of architecture that does not only cater to sport but also a chance to gain hospitality ground. The stadium has gone for a long time with the same set of features and the directorate team at Anfield had to do something about it.

Luckily, a plan application was put in place to come up with good refurbishments of one of the most historical stadiums. The plan includes hosting six concerts and key events that will be worthwhile. These include the American and Gaelic. They will be performing at the stadium for a total of five years as a way to enrich publicity. This is truly going to put the stadium on the map of some major world events in the future.

However, even though the situation on the project seems to be taking a bit of shape, local residents and a lot of environmental groups from around have opposed the move stating that Stanley Park will be affected. However, the planning committee at Liverpool voted otherwise with a 6–2 vote result.

The project is supposed to end in the summer of 2023. In total, the panning committee alluded that the project will take 18 months, though the period is supposed to be approximate.

The work will start around Stanley Park and then will continue on, joining up the old and the new stand, a project that is going to see a combination of the modern and historic edge. This is also done as a way of reducing Anfield’s overall impact.

Great works of other stadiums have seen them being transformed just like Santiago de Bernebeu in Madrid. Stamford Bridge has seen its traditional end and the modern end being combined, a great way of preserving history.

Andy Hughes Comment

Liverpool Managing Director, Andy Hughes, had a few words to say about the whole prospectus of the project.

He said that the project is a milestone, something that has been missed by Anfield fans. The project is geared toward allowing more spectators during matches, thereby giving more people a chance to engage with their favorite players.

He added that the project, all in all, is actually a result of an attempt by Liverpool City fathers to create a complex landscape while respecting local residents’ approval. Finances are in position and the project will be a blessing altogether.

He further stated that a few steps will need to be taken into account to make sure that the project never heads south. Emergency programs are also in the position to alleviate any mishaps, a move that has seen many construction programs topple down.

Rail Seating Plans

A rail seating will also be included as the construction progresses. This piece is to be included so as to facilitate the involvement of safety in all the activities of the stadium.

Spectators will definitely feel safe and sound in the new Liverpool stadium. The decision to set a rail seat has brought about Hillsborough memories of 1989, where a total of 96 people died from safety issues. Efforts have been made to facilitate the comfort of the affected families.

As Liverpool fans expect a quick turnaround of the pitch by city fathers, the EPL is around the corner as fixtures are already out. Though they are prone to change, Liverpool is pitting no lost hopes as their marksman, Virgil Van Dijk, who was injured for most of the previous season, is said to have recovered. Jurgen Klopp is expecting a stellar performance from his charges who have not been changed a lot in the transfer window. If this is your favorite EPL team, then I’m sure you are truly excited by this news.
