The California Bar: it’s nasty, brutish, and long. The entire exam is approximately 18 hours and spans over the course of three consecutive days. It consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, six essays questions, and two performance exams, which are designed to test your native intelligence and real-world lawyering skills in a closed universe of fictional law and facts. On average, no more than 60% of examinees pass the July Bar, and the pass rate for the February Bar is even lower.

I must preface this article by challenging a common misperception about law school. Law school is fun.
