Goodbye ustwo NYC. Hello London!
You know that feeling you get the night before your life-changing holiday is about to end? Now imagine that holiday has been ongoing for the last 4 years. That is me right now. 😭
The journey started in the summer of 2014 when my wife Mandy and I relocated to NYC from our home city of London. The purpose was so that I could help grow ustwo’s presence in the U.S. and bring over some of ustwo’s culture from their London HQ where I’d already been working for 3 years. (Why I joined ustwo in the first place).
In that time I’ve managed to do the best work of my career so far, meet insanely talented people, travel all over the U.S. and make life-long friends.
It’s been incredible.
Earlier this year Mandy and I made the difficult decision to say goodbye to NYC and return to London. We’re excited to be back amongst family, friends, Europe and be free from visa constraints.
What’s next?
We plan on leaving NYC in mid-July and then we’ll be taking some much needed time to recuperate. 🏖
It’s also the perfect opportunity for us to start fresh new jobs.
I’m keen to double-down on my product design experience and join a passionate team I feel like I will learn a lot from and contribute to, specifically in-house at a startup. More news on that soon. 😉
