Slave to Software Architecture Trends?
Peter Campbell

“Software Architects” are not immune, and are often more susceptible than most, to the fear of missing the “next big thing”. This, allied to the fact that they often don’t actually have to get involved in delivering the thing they architected often makes them the worst offenders. There is always a new shiny thing that might be “the silver bullet”, but they never are, or at least only are in certain contexts. The principles of simplicity, partitioning and abstraction, remain the key to success.
