Weekly Burst Report #2–09/10/2017

The Weekly Burst Report is a report published every sunday meant to centralize and describe the major Burst events that happened during the week.

• The Proof-of-Capacity Consortium keeps releasing new software with the goal of providing the network with more stable and healthy nodes.
• Their Enterprise Burst wallet has been updated. The new version 1.3.4cg contains consistent use of utf8mb4, brings enhanced database deployment, and shows better information about outdated versions on the webgui. Download the enterprise wallet on Github.
  This wallet is now available in the Crytoguru Burst Package Repository for Linux users.
• Thanks to their efforts, the Burst network now shows more than 50% of valid nodes.
• The PoCC will announce something new tomorrow. I have been given a sneak peek and it’s big. Confirmed.
• BurstNation talked about their new Android wallet on their last live meeting and presented a neat promotional video made by John Luke. They announced that the development of the IOS version started this week — expect an IOS wallet soon!

• The new official Burst website is live at https://www.burst-coin.org/ ! This is a neutral website packed with many interesting articles and resources, make sure to check it out.
• A new poker platform has been released by @zack — you can now play poker with other people with your burstcoins! Zack is also the owner of a block explorer and lotto.
• A new website has been released with the goal to help Burst newbies : http://www.burstcademy.com/
• Come and own a piece of internet history with this Burst website inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage : http://millionburstpage.com/
• @shadow, the owner of the pool http://pool.burstcoin.ro/ released a new block explorer, block winners and lotto.

• The Proof-of-Capacity Consortium is recruiting. If you want to be part of their team, apply at bots@cryptoguru.org.
• @cryptojam shared a little Burst success story.
• An interview series of Burst developers has been launched : on the first episode rico666 (member of the PoCC) gives his point of view on Burst and development.

The launch of all these new Burst websites were exciting and promising. The new official website will give a better, cleaner image of Burst to the general public. Development wise we are making progress toward a more stable and reliable network. Overall a very interesting week for Burst.
