Introduction

In June 2022, a small spark in the form of an innovative idea emerged from our humble development quarters, destined to ignite the world of Web 3 racing. This spark quickly caught fire, rallied an army of passionate players, each bringing their unique zest to the mix. Join us as we take a quick walk down memory lane, celebrating our milestones and peering eagerly into the promising path that lies ahead. 🌟

🚀 Quick Recap of Our Milestones

  • June 2022: The genesis of Muzzle Run — initial design and development phase.
  • July — September 2022: Our organic marketing efforts and Sharedrop event captivated an astonishing 30,000 registered users, with over 25,000 wallets connecting to the app.
  • September 2022: A major landmark — over 25,000 NFT Greyhounds found their new homes, and the naming saga commenced.
  • October 2022: The strategic gameplay started with the introduction of Breeding and Training.
  • December 2022: The inaugural 3D Race thundered off the blocks. This monumental moment captivated a plethora of potential players, leading to a surge in participation as the first-ever NFT Greyhound races took off. Our pioneering tournament, The George Hickman Cup rewarded the early adopters with 3K Matic — for free.

The cascade of feedback is a cherished moment for us, illuminating the path to something truly special.

  • December 2022: Ahead of schedule, Paid Racing was unleashed to satisfy the community’s appetite. We sustained the momentum with more tournaments, the implementation of the class system, and continuous enhancements inspired by community input.

🌟 2023: A Year Packed with Innovation and Engagement

  • Paid Sit & Gos: A new feature that became an instant hit.
  • Merch Store Launch: Players can now flaunt their Muzzle Run pride.
  • Major NFT Purchases: The first significant bulk purchases of Breeders injected a robust financial flow, boosting promotions and prize pools.
  • Celebrity Collaboration: Partnering with the legendary boxer Zab Judah, we distributed a staggering 40,000 Matic in tournament prizes and giveaways.
  • Charitable Contributions: Our commitment to canine companions led to a generous donation of over $8,500 to Greyhound rehoming agencies.
Happy Greyhound Rehoming Agency in New Zealand. I adopted George (The Greyhound who inspired Muzzle Run) from this agency.
  • Expansion of the Muzzle Run Family: The introduction of Whippets, named in honor of our community, strengthening the lineage.
  • Daily Guaranteed Tournaments: Launched to maintain a pulse of daily excitement, following community recommendations.
  • Burn Sit & Go’s: This novel concept provided an additional burn utility, dishing out 4,500 Matic in prizes and 10,000 Matic in training credits monthly — a reward for simply burning your NFT.
  • Enhanced Cash Back & Affiliate Program: We’ve created avenues for everyone to be rewarded and benefit by contributing to the growth of Muzzle Run.
  • Anniversary Sharedrop: Marking our first anniversary, this initiative drew in another 30,000 new enthusiasts, accompanied by the biggest Greyhound tournament ever and exclusive OG pricing.
  • Streamer Panel: The integration of a dedicated Streamer Panel marked a significant stride towards empowering community engagement in Muzzle Run. With this innovative feature, approved streamers have the autonomy to orchestrate their own tournaments, with a weekly allowance of 500 Matic and 20 training credits to incentivize and reward their viewers. The flexibility to customize tournament conditions has unleashed a wave of creativity, resulting in highly entertaining and unique racing experiences that resonate with the community. This not only fosters a more dynamic interaction between streamers and their audiences but also enhances the overall excitement and competitive spirit within the Muzzle Run ecosystem.

Looking Ahead: Our Roadmap for Q4 2023 and Beyond into 2024

In-House Stats (November 2023)

With Hawku’s departure, we’re internalizing the statistics. The beloved graphs and analyses will not only be retained but enhanced, and made readily accessible on your hound’s view page.

Redesigned view hound page showing some of the stats you will see. In addition you’ll find your hounds fastest, slowest and average time across each distance and be able to compare them to world average and world fastest.

In-App Marketplace (December 2023)

A new feature to list and manage your NFTs is on the horizon. Grow your kennel within the Muzzle Run app, leveraging filters based on live hound stats that connect directly to their detailed statistics, ensuring you’re equipped with all the necessary information for astute strategic purchases — all without the hassle of updating metadata.

Metal Rabbits

From 1 December 2023 metal rabbits will no longer be burned for racing credits. This pivotal change transitions their value into burning for training credits, a reflection of the evolved ecosystem within our app. Initially, racing credits were a mechanism to invigorate paid racing, and they’ve done their job well. However, as Muzzle Run has matured, the approach towards user rewards has been refined.

The distribution of training credits has become a cornerstone of our user engagement — awarded through burn tournaments, streamer specials, and giveaways. Yet, with every training credit handed out, there’s an associated cost in Matic, a reality that stems from the possibility of converting metal rabbits into racing credits.

To steer towards a more sustainable model in 2024, we’ve realigned our fiscal strategy. This includes a meticulous budgeting of revenue distribution, which necessitates halting the conversion of metal rabbits into racing credits, but conversion into training credits instead. The Matic that is saved by not distributing racing credits is allocated to prizes for more earning opportunities based on the excitement of racing itself. Revenue allocation is broken down in detail further down this article.

🚀 Powering Up: XP Transforms into PP (Player Points)

Experience Points (XP) are evolving into Player Points (PP). This isn’t just a name change — it’s a strategic enhancement that amplifies their importance in the gaming ecosystem. PP will now be the key to unlocking doors to all main event and class tournaments. The more PP you hold, the more entries to compete in some of the most exciting events on our platform and the more earning opportunities you will have.

This pivot towards PP isn’t the final checkpoint. While their initial role is to grant access to high-earning opportunities, we’re already in the pipeline to expand their utility. Imagine redeeming PP for exclusive merchandise or using them within a broader rewards ecosystem — we’re exploring these avenues and more.

As we roll out PP, we’ll be closely monitoring the balance of their supply against this new demand. Our goal is to fine-tune the system to maintain the value of PP while also offering a meaningful and rewarding experience for all our players. Keep racing, keep earning, and stay tuned for the exciting opportunities PP will bring to the Muzzle Run community.

Rake free racing

Muzzle Run is maintaining its stance on rake-free racing. The current model does not take any commission on paid racing, sit & go’s, or tournament fees. Our observations of other games, have shown that even slight increases in rake can drastically thin out the ranks of profitable players.

100% of racing funds provided by our users are cycled back into the prize pool for that race, sit & go or tournament. This creates a virtuous circle where the user’s investment in the game is consistently rewarded, fostering a competitive and fair racing environment and separates us from our competitors in the Web 3 racing space. It’s our mission to sustain this ethos while innovating NFT utilities and other application features that drive revenue — ensuring that Muzzle Run remains a vibrant and economically viable platform for all racers.

App Redesign

We’re overhauling the app’s aesthetics to enrich the gaming feel. Here are some sneak peeks of the fresh designs that will be implemented.

3D Racing Upgrade

We are completely revamping the Greyhound 3D Racing experience. This isn’t just a facelift; it’s a total revolution in digital racing immersion.

  • Enhanced Visuals and Sound: The improvements are striking, with enhanced lighting that casts dynamic shadows on the track, and more lifelike hound animations that capture the essence of the race. The roar of the crowd and the pounding of paws are more visceral, enveloping you in the sounds of the sport.
  • New Camera Angles and Photo Finish: The addition of a photo finish camera brings every close race to an exhilarating conclusion, ensuring that every nose across the line is captured in high definition. Multiple camera options allow you to experience the race from angles that bring you closer to the action.
  • Live Commentary: Real-time commentary now accompanies each race, adding a layer of professional broadcast quality that heightens the excitement and brings every moment to vivid life.
  • Seamless Gameplay: Continuous play for sit & gos and tournaments ensures that the action never stops. Jump from race to race with ease and never miss a beat of the heart-pumping action.

This overhaul is more than just technical improvements — it’s about crafting a sleek, professional racing experience that you won’t find anywhere else. We can’t wait for you to take to the track and feel the difference for yourselves. As we have a big focus on setting up the infrastructure for season 2 of Muzzle Run, this update is now scheduled to drop in Q1 2024.

2024: Unleashing Season 2 of Muzzle Run

Looking forward to 2024, we’re not just continuing the journey; we’re elevating it. Muzzle Run Season 2 is about balancing sustainable growth with thrilling engagement and opening doors for players at every stage of their Muzzle Run adventure.

We’ve heard your feedback and understand the need for a blend of spontaneity and strategic foresight. While the month-by-month excitement in 2023 was exhilarating, we’re refining our vision to offer a clearer long-term roadmap — one that not only excites but also allows for meticulous planning.

Transparency remains a cornerstone of our ethos. Muzzle Run’s revenue isn’t a behind-the-scenes figure; it’s a shared success, declared monthly as part of our Breeder Rewards. We’re innovating further by dynamically scaling tournament prizes based on our collective engagement levels, ensuring that rewards reflect our community’s vibrancy.

Here’s a peek at how every Matic of revenue will be distributed in 2024, fostering growth and excitement across the ecosystem:

  • 33% — Cash back and affiliate rewards, empowering our community promoters.
  • 10% — Breeder Rewards, recognizing and rewarding our early adopters who got us here
  • 10% — Muzzle League (Group 1 only)
  • 10% — Main Event Class Tournaments, where every class has its day.
  • 8% — Whippets
  • 5% — Special Edition Main Event Tournaments
  • 5% — Burn tournament prizes
  • 5% — Breeder Jackpots
  • 4% — Streamers
  • 10% — App operating costs, ensuring Muzzle Run’s smooth, efficient, and innovative operation. Includes daily guaranteed tournament overlays

This comprehensive breakdown provides crystal-clear expectations on monthly rewards. Mirroring the real-time transparency of Breeder Reward figures, each prize pool’s accumulating funds will be openly trackable within the app under the funds tab so you always know exactly how much each allocation will have for the next month. The allocation system begins on 8 December 2023 for the January 2024 distribution.

For the following points we’ve pegged our estimates on a prudent average of 100K Matic monthly revenue — a figure modest in comparison to our performance over the past year — it’s pivotal to recognize that the rewards scale in tandem with Muzzle Run’s growth, ensuring an expanding ecosystem for all players involved.

🏁 Revamping the Muzzle League: Leveling the Playing Field Every Quarter (Estimated 30K Matic per quarter)

The Muzzle League has been the pulsating heart of free racing in Group 1 throughout 2023, functioning as a catalyst for action and engagement within the community. We’ve taken a hard look at the feedback and recognized a consistent theme: the year-long duration of the League can be daunting for newcomers, who might feel they’ve missed their moment to shine. In 2024, we’re reshaping the Muzzle League to maintain its allure and the lucrative rewards, yet breaking it down into more accessible, quarterly competitions. This pivotal change ensures that no matter when you join, there’s always a fresh starting line waiting for you.

Here’s what’s revving up for the Muzzle League in the coming year:

  • Quarterly Cycles: Each quarter presents a new chance for glory.
  • Exclusive to Group 1: Keeping the competition fierce and focused.
  • Prize Distribution: A hefty 50% of the prize pool goes to the top 16, ranked by Muzzle points at the end of the quarter.
  • Quarterly Tournament: At each quarter’s end, the top 32 battle it out in the Muzzle League quarterly tournament, where 30% of the prizes will be up for grabs by the top 8.
  • Year-End Bonanza: To keep the stakes high all year, 20% of the prize allocation rolls over to a grand year-end distribution, with a tournament that everyone with at least one Muzzle League point is entered (Does not have to currently be in Group 1). Based on the revenue for 2023 this may be an eye watering tournament prize pool.

Should ties occur within the top 32 based on Muzzle Points for the quarterly tournament, we’re ensuring inclusivity and excitement — every tied hound gets a shot at the tournament. And if the numbers don’t neatly divide by 8, our trusty bot dogs will leap into action, guaranteeing a smooth, competitive, and fair tournament structure.

By introducing these changes, we’re committed to fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and continuously engaging Muzzle League. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a fresh face in the paddock, the Muzzle League is ready for you to make your mark, every quarter, every year.

🏁 Reset, Race, and Rise: Class Resets and Dynamic Main Event Tournaments

As we constantly refine the dynamics of Muzzle Run, we’re introducing a reset system for class points and an invigorated structure for main event class tournaments. Here’s what’s revving up:

Monthly Class Point Reset: Every hound will start with zero class points at the beginning of each month. This reset ensures a level playing field, giving all participants an equal chance to race to the top.

Group 1 Stays Elite: Group 1 hounds are not effected by class points and maintain their elite status until relegated. The bottom 33%, ranked by monthly Muzzle League points, will face relegation.

Inclusive Monthly Tournaments: Whether your hound is in Group 3, Group 2, or the esteemed Group 1, each class will have a free monthly main event tournament with entry through PP. This brings excitement and competitive spirit across all levels.

  • Group 3 Monthly Tournament: With a 2% allocation (estimated at 2K Matic), hounds will compete in a 6-day event plus a final, where the top 8 share the prize pool. In order to qualify your hound must achieve at least 50 class points.
  • Group 2 Monthly Tournament (G1 Trials): With a 3% allocation (estimated at 3K Matic), this serves as the proving ground for the up-and-coming champions aiming for Group 1 glory. Note that a hound may run in the Group 3 and Group 2 monthly tournament in the same month as Group 3 runs before the Group 2 tournament.
  • Group 1 Riccarton Elite: Carrying a 5% allocation (Estimated 5K Matic), this remains the zenith of competition where 152 Group 1 hounds vie for the title of Muzzle Run’s elite every month.

This redistribution is a strategic manoeuvre designed to align the prize distribution across various stages of a user’s journey within Muzzle Run. It ensures that while the Riccarton Elite’s prizes remain coveted, there’s a balanced opportunity for all through. Combined potential winnings in the Muzzle League quarterly points prizes and tournaments Group 1 is still very much the goal destination. Prepare your hounds for a monthly reset that promises new beginnings and unending excitement!

🚩 Group 1 Retirement: Elevating the Stakes for Whippets and Greyhounds

Starting from January 1, 2024, hounds that reach Group 1 status will transition out of class-based races and tournaments on January 1, 2025. They will, however, remain eligible for Open events, including daily guaranteed and main event tournaments. Additionally, the prospect of introducing an ‘ex Group 1 Retirement burn’ for these hounds will be reviewed later in 2024.

Maintaining a Dynamic Racing Ecosystem: By transitioning Group 1 hounds out of class-based events, we ensure that the competition remains as dynamic and vibrant as ever, with constant opportunities for new contenders to make their mark. There is no aging in Muzzle Run Season 2. Your hounds will always be able to run for Matic inside Muzzle Run, but once they’ve had their shot at the big time, they will need to make way for new challengers in 2025. This shift is designed to maintain a healthy competitive environment where new talent can rise.

🌟 Whippets: The Swift Contenders in Muzzle Run

Muzzle Run’s evolution in 2023 has welcomed the swift and agile Whippets into the heart of the action. Recognizing their potential, we’ve spotlighted Whippets in daily guarantee events, offering free races with Matic rewards. As we move into 2024, Whippet warm up free races will stop, however we’re gearing up to further enhance the Whippet racing experience with exclusive class tournaments, ensuring they remain a vital and thrilling component of our racing ecosystem.

Monthly Class Resets Across the Board: Aligning with the Greyhounds, all Whippets will have their class points reset at the beginning of each month, igniting the competitive spirit and providing all owners with a fresh starting line.

Dedicated Class Tournaments: The class tournaments for Whippets will set the stage for the Greyhounds, offering an exciting prelude to the main events. Entry to these tournaments is with PP.

  • Group 3 Whippet Tournament: With a purse of 2% (approximately 2K Matic), this will be the entry-level proving ground for the aspiring champions. Whippets must achieve 50 class points to qualify
  • Group 2 Whippet Tournament: Also at 2%, it’s the middle tier where competition heats up and Whippets begin to showcase their racing prowess.
  • Group 1 Whippet Elite: With the highest allocation of 4% (estimated 4K Matic), this premier event is where the fastest Whippets battle it out for top honors and the larger share of the prize pool.

Dual Participation: Reflecting the Greyhound structure, a Whippet may compete in both Group 3 and Group 2 tournaments within the same month.

Simplified Yet Unique Gameplay: Whippets in Muzzle Run symbolize not just an integral part of the platform but also stand as a testament to the simplicity and accessibility of the game. Without the complexity of rabbits, and with an easier discovery of distances, Whippets maintain their unique character. They serve as the perfect introduction for newcomers to Muzzle Run, presenting an attractive opportunity for anyone looking to invest and indulge in the exhilarating world of virtual hound racing.

With these enhancements, Whippets are not just warming up the tracks for the Greyhounds; they are carving out their own legacy.

Special Edition Main Event Tournaments (Allocation 5% estimated 5K Matic)

  • These tournaments are designed to attract new users, target hounds that may not be benefitting from class tournaments (Such as G4, untrained, Maidens etc) and reward collectors. Every quarter will reserve a slot for a collector only tournament similar to the 2023 Rhythm of the Night.

🏆 Breeder Jackpots: Unleashing the Potential of NFT Ownership

The dynamic world of Muzzle Run is set to intensify with the introduction of the Breeder Jackpots, a revolutionary step in NFT ownership and player engagement. As we allocate a robust 5% of the funds, translating to an estimated 5K Matic monthly, our community can expect an unprecedented buzz in participation with the chance to win big.

Continual Excitement with Monthly Draws: To keep the excitement at a fever pitch, we’ve decided to hold these jackpot draws on a monthly basis. Every end of the month will bring a crescendo of anticipation as someone’s day could be made by winning the jackpot.

Breeder NFTs as Your Golden Ticket: Minting a Breeder during the month is your entry into the jackpot draw.

Transparent and Live Draws: Transparency is key in maintaining trust within our community. To that end, the draws will be conducted live in Discord at the end of the month, ensuring every participant can witness the fairness and the excitement of the draw in real time.

Our Grand Vision: Muzzle Run as a Premier Simulated Sports Platform

Our journey through Muzzle Run has been marked by exhilarating highs — heart-pounding moments leading up to major events that have kept players riveted. The outpouring of joy and gratitude from our community, from those who’ve celebrated winnings to those who’ve shared stories of treating their families, continues to be our driving force. We’re committed to crafting more of these unforgettable experiences.

While the excitement for greyhound racing runs deep, it’s clear that the allure of Muzzle Run transcends the sport itself. It’s about the pursuit of those pulse-quickening moments, akin to the anticipation one feels for their favorite sports team’s championship game or a champion boxer’s next big match. Muzzle Run stands apart with its ability to deliver these electrifying moments with more frequency and less waiting — on-demand excitement that traditional sports simply can’t match.

Looking to the horizon, our vision is to evolve Muzzle Run into a comprehensive platform encompassing a variety of sports, akin to a sports betting application where you’re not just a spectator but an owner of the assets — the players, the teams.

One of the biggest strengths in our software company lies in transforming nascent ideas into full-fledged productions. This ability has not only served our clients worldwide but has proven to be a remarkable strategy for audience acquisition. Introducing new products paves the way to new markets and enables cross-promotion across our platforms. And now, we’re poised to introduce the next chapter in the Muzzle Run sports platform.

After much community engagement and internal deliberation, while horse racing was considered, we’re setting our sights beyond the realm of racing. We’re targeting a sport with global appeal, a fervent fan base, and the ability to emulate Muzzle Run’s successful formula of breeding, training, strategy, and competition.

With these factors in mind, we’ve chosen to dive into the world’s most beloved sport — Soccer (Football). This expansion into soccer will not just be another game; it will be an integral part of Muzzle Run, benefiting from and contributing to our ever-expanding ecosystem.

Coming Soon: The Soccer Experience within Muzzle Run

  • Forge Your Legacy: Create and manage your club, permanently etching your club name onto the blockchain.
  • Build Your Dream Team: Mint players for your team in a process akin to breeding champion racers.
  • Craft Your Play Style: Uncover and cultivate player strengths across positions like Striker, Midfielder, and Defender.
  • Masterful Training: Develop your squad’s skills to prepare for the competition.
  • Compete and Conquer: Engage in friendlies, enter paid matches, and rise through tournament ranks.

While other soccer-based applications focus heavily on management, our aim is to strike a balance that caters to both strategic depth for enthusiasts and approachable gameplay for newcomers.

The launch of our new soccer game stands as a strategic move to diversify and enhance our gaming ecosystem, with the main goal of drawing in a crowd with a fervor for the sport. By meticulously timing and coordinating Greyhound, Whippet and Soccer events, we ensure that they will not only avoid conflict but also complement each other, heightening the overall excitement. This approach is calculated to capture the attention of soccer enthusiasts, bringing them into the fold of the Muzzle Run sports platform. Once engaged, we are presented with a prime opportunity to cross-promote, potentially converting them not just to fans but active participants of hound racing and across our expanding portfolio of sports offerings

Anticipate the release of the soccer White Paper in early 2024, which will detail the exciting features we’re bringing to the pitch. This is more than a new game — it’s a natural progression, a step towards a more diversified, yet interconnected ecosystem where each new sport amplifies and enhances the Muzzle Run universe. The game is scheduled to be released by the end of Quarter 2 2024

Introducing $FROTH: The New Fuel for Our Simulated Sports Platform

As we broaden our horizons, the introduction of an ERC20 token, $FROTH, is the next exciting leap for our community. Its flexibility surpasses that of Polygon’s native $MATIC token, paving the way for enhanced in-game mechanics like pre-approvals and marketplace auctions. In the dynamic landscape of gaming tokens, we’ve observed that trending tokens are a great user acquisition tool for games, and reward early adopters handsomely. Our commitment remains steadfast: to introduce a token only when it aligns with our users’ best interests. With the expansion of our ecosystem and the pursuit of growth, the moment has arrived to launch $FROTH.

Why $FROTH? It’s a term that resonates with the exhilaration that Muzzle Run embodies, a word frequently echoed within our community, encapsulating the thrilling moments we’ve crafted together.

Snapshot of $FROTH:

  • Universal Application: $FROTH will be the primary currency for all gaming activities across future releases, including minting, training, and entry fees.
  • Hybrid Economy: While Greyhound and Whippet transactions will continue using $MATIC for minting and training in 2024, all racing-related entry fees will shift to $FROTH in Q1 2024.
  • ICO Details: We are launching an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) for $FROTH, where a portion of the 1 billion total supply will be set at an introductory price of 0.01 $MATIC per token. This offering will commence on 17th November 2023 and conclude on 1st January 2024.
  • Liquidity Assurance: Post-ICO, we’ll integrate liquidity pools for $MATIC and $FROTH on Uniswap (v3) in Q1 2024. Seamless swapping between $FROTH and $MATIC will be available directly within the Muzzle Run platform, facilitated by Uniswap’s protocols.

Keep an eye out in the Muzzle Run Discord for our $FROTH Whitepaper, which will detail the intricacies of our token economics.

We’re on the cusp of a thrilling new chapter for Muzzle Run, and $FROTH stands at the heart of this evolution
