The inconstant Gardener

We used to have a semi-decent sort of a vegetable garden, it had the usual suspects; You know, your carrots, your potatoes, a couple of peas and beans kicking about. It was great, being able to not rely on the Tesco shop every week to bring us ALL our food. (If only you could grow a chocolate digestive tree).

However the garden was forgotten about, abandoned, orphaned, neglected, what ever adjective you want to use, no one visited any longer. The fruit trees tried hard to beckon our attention back, but the bitter apples and rock hard pears were not enough.

So, a couple of years on, I’m standing looking at this desperate looking plot and thinking this garden has to at least get back to its former glory, if not exceed. So that is exactly what I’m trying to do, and hopefully in doing so pick up some tips and tricks along the way. So that’s all the background you need to know really (It’s not as if anyone is actually reading this)

This blog is mainly for me, or anyone who blindly stumbles across this, to see my progress and comment/laugh on my horticultural ineptitude.
