This is why nobody likes that person who submits stylistic pull requests to open source projects; something like `git blame` now shows them as owners of the entire module which is clearly not true.

Following set guidelines and the existing style within the module is the way to go, and with modern tools it’s relatively easy to make sure code doesn’t get committed without conforming. It’s also fairly trivial to set up linters and formatters in your own environment that can be configured on the fly for different projects.
