I love your concept. You two are idealists, and that’s great. The question is, how to give the idealism more traction.
I think you need to present your points of difference with a clear frame of reference.
Primary benefit, as different from, for clients
Primary benefit, as different from, for freelancers
Secondary benefits: clients
Secondary benefits: freelancers.
Might try a modest campaign on LinkedIn. That’s where the clients are, and that’s what would make the site hum along for freelancers.
