Put Yourself in Your Customers Shoes
Gary Vaynerchuk

This is so true and not just when it comes to sales. As a developer it’s crucial to put yourself in your clients/customers shoes. If your trying to improve something don’t come at it from a blank slate but try the current process, experience it, what works and what doesn’t. Don’t make wholesale changes to something that already works unless you’ve proven through testing with those same customers that it is an improvement.
