How we’re saving supply teachers with technology.
Teaching has become less appealing.
Every week there is a new story circulating the web about the current state of the teaching industry.
With increasing work loads and support in short supply, teachers are looking for change.
As a result the natural step is towards supply teaching.
Here’s the problem.
Finding consistent work as a supply teacher is a pain.
A contributing factor is the reliance on supply agencies to find work.
We are building an alternative enabling Teacher to take back control.
Introducing Teachers Register
Teachers Register is a platform for teachers to connect with local schools direct.
We provide live availability and a central place to store vetting, references and job offers removing a lot of phone calls in the middle.
By connecting with direct, schools save money and teachers can increase their pay. The appeal is clear.
With Teachers Register we are building a community, a community hungry for change. More than that a community eager to contribute.
Our approach
From day 1 we spoke to our target users and built it around them.
Our user centric approach has enabled us to us to gain valuable insights. Insights into the pain points of supply teaching. A large amount of which were unknown before.
Take for instance a way to share availability in a simple way. Doesn’t happen by all accounts. Crazy.
What’s next?
We’re putting the final touches on a couple of things before releasing Teachers Register. It will be available on iOS and Android from day 1.
In the mean time we’ll be posting regular updates through our blog atwww.teachersregister.co.
Follows/like/shares are worth their weight in gold for start ups. We promise to celebrate each one like the Denver Broncos celebrated on Sunday.
Bye for now.
