Our stories are not dissimilar..

Following a well-paid career in an unrelated industry, I also undertook studies and after five years (full-time), I graduated with a degree in IT. The success story ends here…

Two years later, still no job, I am finding nobody wants to hire an “experienced” (in a totally unrelated field), middle aged man. Any hiring manager (usually half my age…) seemingly prefers to hire a younger rookie, feeling somewhat threatened with my Life experience. I do realise and am openly prepared to take an entry level position, to no avail…

Not only is it frustrating, but also shows that many stereotypes, discrimination and social stigma are rife in the global business and recruiting.
