A Call For Web Developers To Deprecate Their CSS

Plain old HTML attributes are even better than CSS and JavaScript together. For example, you could change the color of #gulp even without documentget.ElementById, by directly using the color attribute.

So, given that #gulp is an HTML paragraph, the same style can be applied with the following additions:

<p id="gulp" color="#00f"> … </p>

Even better, since now we don’t need to bind styles to the DOM node from CSS or Javascript, we can remove the id attribute!

<p color="#00f"> … </p>

Profit.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
