It would be so much nicer if twitch would handle all the drops, instead of providing a heartbeat to our own endpoint.
What I’m imagining is logging on to the dev portal, defining which items are dropped, how likely, etc. Then having them drop to viewers of my game automatically in twitch.
In my game, I implement twitch identity, players log in with their twitch details, I query the twitch server to see what drops these players have, and give them access to these items in the game.
Simple, no endpoint needed, no heartbeat monitoring, twitch can take care of all that for me.
