I can’t see how George can look at what he did in 97' and think it is in any way better. Turns a great film into a bad one. The CGI is terrible, the discontinuity is jarring, it’s just strange. I still own a laserdisc player and luckily have the original letterboxed editions of the first three films. I also have the 97' special addition, but I never play them. One day New Hope will succumb to laser rot and I’ll have to find an original dvd or something if they make them. It’s a fantastic transfer, the non HD resolution means the film looks great as is, no matting showing up or anything.
